Hey everyone, I'm going to be interviewing Michael (Mike) Stelzner , CEO of Social Media Examiner on the #LinkedInAds Show podcast! He recently released the 2020 Social Media Industry report. What questions do you have for him?
I'm BREAKING the forbidden rule of sharing a YOUTUBE video 😂 I'll likely be shamed by the algorithm 🤷🏼♀️ "Chantel, why don't I ever see your stuff anymore?!" I have had HUNDREDS of you ask what's up with that, and here is my solution: Follow #ChantelShares and subscribe to my channel on YouTube! If you're creating a social strategy, make sure you have a unique hashtag as well as other platforms to funnel traffic to. My father grew up as a farmer and always told me different sayings like... "don't count your chickens before they hatch" or "don't put all your eggs into one basket!" If that basket drops, you risk all the eggs breaking. Spread the wealth of your knowledge and get creating! What's your unique hashtag?! Some of my favorites are: Richard Moore #RichTips Judi Fox #FoxRocks Tony Abbacchi #TonyTruths *Spoiler Alert: YouTube is where all of my videos go originally so I can access a .srt file for LinkedIn subtitles since LinkedIn doesn't have auto-captioning yet. Cheers! Chantel #SocialMedia #SocialMediaMarketing #DigitalMarketing #SocialStrategy #LinkedInStrategy #Create …see more
Leadership is like a marriage: it's an “every day” commitment. To those who call themselves “a Leader,” I’d like to remind you of the following: 1. You set the tone...every day 2. People are watching you...always 3. Be ready to inspire...any time 4. You determine the pace of change...make it snappy 5. People want to be part of positive change...so give them room to perform 6. Recognize people’s efforts...every day 7. Make sure you are happy otherwise...you cannot do any of the above …see more

The Federal Reserve and Markets Given the tone and content of Chair Powell's remarks this afternoon, including noting that a strong labor market is "still very far," both traders and investors will interpret the Federal Reserve as unambiguously "all" in when it comes to maintaining ultra-loose financial conditions, and doing so for a considerable period of time. #markets #economy #bonds #investing #equities #volatility #fed #federalreserve #centralbanks #monetarypolicy …see more
Good morning. Wishing you all a good week. Re the recent dollar depreciation: Agreement on the why is accompanied with disagreements on the so what -- especially after the dollar's 10% weakening since March and its 5% loss in value versus the Euro in July alone. This includes: Positives for markets and the economy versus concerns about the currency's secular status. #economy #markets #dollar #fx #currency …see more

Note the dispersion in the year-to-date currency performance in this sub-set of emerging economies. "Why are people so racist against Green people?" What?? The two producers on the Zoom call were not sure what I was asking about. The audio engineer had muted himself. The other audio engineer was confused because he didn't grow up in this country. Even David Banner, known for being a rapper but also an activist, was silent. "Like the Hulk," I said, "From the TV show. You picked his name. The Hulk is green." And then he told me something I didn't know... #racism #slavery #BLM #rap #hiphop …see more

Reverend—Mr. King—Marty—junior: a bit of advice on what may seem like a small but I think is a not unimportant matter. Any chance you might drop the “Dr.” before your name? “Dr Martin Luther King, Jr” sounds and feels fraudulent, not to say a touch comic. …see more
The notion of Vacation time is a bit odd these days. My mental health seems to be improved by working hard right now, last thing I want is time off to let the world in. but I'd imagine at some point I'll want to getaway for a long time. Probably time companies moved to unlimited vacation time and a culture of management by trust and outputs not time and presence. …see more
I loved this book "Be More Pirate". Should carry a health warning that it may cause people to give up their jobs. Love that they stole some space from the publishers to promote it and got a bollocking. Wish I'd thought of that for my book. https://lnkd.in/dqN34tV …see more
Heard about a store ( Peak Performance) in Europe the other day, someone tried to buy a Tshirt but they didn't have the right color and size combo. At the cashiers desk (as she bought other items), they ordered it from a nearby store and it arrived later that day. The staff in the store were quite busy during quiet times processing such orders. I'm not saying this is life changing, but it's interesting to see stores get it. Would love to hear your boring/ little/terrible, anecdotes of stores doing smart of stupid things, in the comments. …see more
