Would also love to get more involved in the startup / business ecosystem as a whole. Let me know if you’re going to be in town or tag anyone you think I should meet! #justQ 🖖🏽🖤 #esports #business …see more

I'm happy to share that The Medical Futurist Institute just launched a collaboration with the American Medical Association . We are now on their Physician Innovation Network (PIN). The PIN is an excellent resource of medical professionals who would like to move medicine forward by discussing challenging issues and sharing best practices. It also gives physicians opportunities to get involved with health tech companies! The AMA has already been showing the way for many medical associations worldwide. First with their Digital Health Implementation Playbook that included key steps, best practices and resources to accelerate the adoption and scale of digital health solutions, and that of telemedicine in particular. Then they published a policy recommendation about using artificial intelligence in medicine. I was proud to take part as an expert in their debate around the same topic. Check out the PIN and see the amazing materials shared there! https://lnkd.in/g2hFQ2T #themedicalfuturist #digitalhealth #future #healthcare #medicine #technology #TMFI #research …see more
5G in healthcare will finally allow the building of infrastructure suitable for the interplay of health sensors, algorithms, and smart devices, for the smooth operation of telemedicine, or even for providing a way for parents to interact with babies who are stuck in incubators. #5g #health #healthcare #algorithms #digitalhealth #medicine #healthy #technology …see more

This retracement in Turkey's currency (sharp strengthening) follows the weekend overhaul of the country's economic leadership and partial economic (less heterodox) policy signal from President Erdogan. Below from the Financial Times . This third UK fiscal package in less than a month reflects how quickly the Covid situation has evolved -- and is evolving -- on the ground. Quick Financial Market Observation An interesting late session dynamic again in US equity markets illustrating the consistently strong technicals that have been driving stocks higher -- i.e., buyers coming in, empowered/enticed by the resilience of market (including their ability to shrug off all sorts of less favorable news). And, with that, the Dow and S&P ended higher for the sixth day in a row (albeit with only a slight gain). #markets #stocks #investors #investing …see more
The Wall Street Journal on more positive economic data out of China today. This Wall Street Journal chart of airline stocks illustrates another sector lacking a market anchor. Just this week, gains of 7-15% have given way to losses of over 20%. Such ultra volatile sectors tend to be outside the Federal Reserve's protective umbrella and subject to notable capital impairment risk. #stocks #markets #economy #investing #federalreserve #interestrates #equities #bonds #investmentmanagement #assetallocation #airlines #wsj …see more
Good morning. Oil remains in focus this morning. Prices are currently down (Brent by 2% and WTI by 3%), having fluctuated quite a bit overnight. Stocks were mixed in Asia and currently are 1.1-1.7% higher in major European bourses. US futures indicating a 1% plus higher open. #stocks #oil #markets …see more
... and here are 2 snapshots of the carnage in the oil complex. One captures the extent to which yesterday's meltdown in the May (expiring) contract contaminated the rest of the curve. Jim Cramer gave up the money management business so he could write everyday. Just like me. “I love stocks and this is the best way to love them, what I do now,” Jim said. The public’s interest is his interest. “My ethos has always been the same, which is that stocks are the greatest wealth creator of all time,” he said. But I wanted to know something else, something beyond #money, #stocks, #accumulation, #success. Is he happy after all these years? Does he still love his job as much as when he started? Or is he addicted to staying relevant? Read or Listen to my full interview with Jim Cramer: http://ow.ly/qFhT30iN5pi http://ow.ly/i/DqYgU …see more
