I often see very cautious research papers and reviews about the potential role artificial intelligence could have in healthcare. Those papers come out from Western countries. Reading this paper from various Chinese groups was a delight. They describe the issues Chinese healthcare faces and encourages the government, policy makers and medical professionals to embrace A.I. as a must-have technology to tackle today's challenges. This is their conclusion: "In closing, medical artificial intelligence must be given great impetus to and deeply pushed ahead with in China.
