Nobody would have expected the global business travel market to come to a screeching halt the way it has in just the last few months. But now that it has, and with the massive shift to videoconferencing, executives are realizing maybe they don’t really need to hop on a plane or train for that in-person meeting they once thought essential to building relationships or sealing the deal. Forrester forecasts that 1M US B2B salespeople will lose their jobs to self-service eCommerce by the year 2020. Note: This became a topic of debate on Twitter, so to be clear, Forrester is saying those most likely to lose their jobs are those who currently take orders for commodity products. When reaching out to accounts we must focus on a key business challenge or opportunity. During the 2019 "16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence," I'm honored to have helped Global Press Journal tell the story of women like Atyang Ann Mary, who survived early marriage, two additional violent marriages and a brutal rape before deciding to help other women in #Uganda 's Karamoja region by participating in the St. Kizito Anti Violence Club.
