A younger and less experienced version of me talked about hard work, difficult obstacles, overcoming adversity in any forms, and so on. My professional (and personal) life drastically changed for the better when I started centering everything around these five words: "Zen", "Balance", "Patience", "Temperance", "Pragmatism". They now drive every decision I make, and everything I do. It allows you to have the greatest positive impact and to work on improving yourself. Awareness of others, which is impossible to do when you’re multi-tasking. Give people your undivided attention, and listen with the intent to understand, not to respond. When you're focused on them, you send a message that they matter, which will improve your communications and relationships. Finally, situational awareness speaks to your ability to perceive what is happening—or predict what will happen—in your company or industry. The more observant you, the better able you'll be to see the current reality and future possibilities. Working with Holly Lee, SPCC has been a 2021 highlight. When I first saw her YouTube videos - I was wow'd by her depth of knowledge and value. I can understand why she has a 12k YouTube subscriber count. Then I saw her on Patreon (ps I love the platform and their vision), but it felt like it diminished her brand value. Still, the lessons she gained from Patreon and YouTube helped validate her ideal clients. We quickly positioned her as the top career coach that helps tech executive leaders land jobs at FAANG. Holly has always been a top brand and at The Trusted Voice, we polished her visuals (ie her site) to reflect that. One key lesson she taught me is the value of working with the client-cultural fit. She gave me space to work my magic and be creative. After working with Holly, I quickly cleaned up my own house and let go of a few clients who didn't align with our company's values or mission.
