Growing a brand or audience? Actually, they are the same thing. A strong brand attracts an audience. An audience will follow a brand that aligns with their values. In many ways, a brand has a cult following. AKA we call that a community :P Here are 5 steps to grow a brand and audience on LinkedIn. 1. Clarity + Amplify your brand Be clear with your positioning, who are you and why should they follow you. 2. Think about who your audience is Who are they, what job titles do they have, what industry are they in. Be specific and create content for them. 3. Produce high-value content Develop a high consistency of content where your audience wants to follow your content. You are the trusted source of news and information. Whether it be videos or written. 4. Be data-driven Use numbers to help inform your growth and your audience. 5. Be a trusted channel Read 1 + 2 + 3+ 4 to become a channel 6. Whom are you talking to? We all have ideal clients that we buy into our brand, product or services. By not having a clear vision of your ideal audience, you're likely to dilute your message. The more you know whom you're talking to, the more convincing you will sound on video. 3. Use your smartphone If you're starting out, your smartphone is your most powerful tool. The most important thing is to convey your confidence on camera. 4. Trust yourself more We all deal with imposter sydnrome, it's our worse enemy. It stops your from voicing our your message.
