“Do or do not. There is no try.” – Yoda, Star Wars I am a big fan of Yoda, and the first time I heard him say this to Luke, I didn’t fully get it. I have grown to appreciate the depth behind these simple 8 words. Doubt poisons our purpose and undermines our potential. Making decisions actively versus being caught in the quagmire of choices is the most important contribution we can make to our success. It is our actions that produce results and the inaction that robs us. …see more
Just got out of a Zoom session with Matthew McConaughey and I'm totally nerding out but also in complete shock at how humble, wise, and compassionate you can be when you are rooted in VALUES aligned with your personal brand. He said "THAT'S when you get to the honey hole" about three times so that basically attests to the amazing value we got out of this 😂 This year at Stardust Creative we are focusing heavily on how to build a strong personal brand using reverse engineering of what is taught in the entertainment industry as well as what actors go through to stay on brand throughout various roles and experiences. He shared his journey of the need to unbrand in order to rebrand in his career to shift into different roles, turning from a "shirtless RomCom star into an accomplished actor." Sooooo freaking dope. Life advice from McConaughey: 💚 Fill up your bank account AND your soul account. 💚 Pledge to be competent at your values. 💚 May you keep hittin' more green lights on your road of life! The world is changing in real time - so is the economy. Will the investments we make now, hold up in a few months' time? My friend and Shark Tank Star, Daymond John, joins me this week to talk about this, his new book, "Powershift" (4:59), the resale value of blinged out watches (7:59), and his new secret identity (14:27). Plus, as an extra special Easter Surprise, Chef Wonderful makes an appearance to teach you a controversial turkey cooking method. https://lnkd.in/eDZhYuW …see more
For the first time, passengers in the UK could have real choice for most of their flights at Heathrow – here’s how:
you can go 30 days without food, 3 days without water, 3 minutes without breathing, but only 3 seconds (max) before thoughts overwhelm. Love your thoughts so they love you back.

I was invited to join a group in Milwaukee — black & brown leaders pushing for change. I said something in the group last week that went like this: I’m not sure if this will make sense, but this is how I think. Imagine a funnel. Like a sales or content funnel. You have top of the funnel, middle, bottom. Awareness all the way down to the conversion (or sale). Everything that is going on right now is top of the funnel. Protests, riots, videos sharing/showing experiences, etc. It’s bringing awareness to the problems that we are having. To the problems that have been there. A question that I would pose to the group is this… what does our funnel look like to bring about change? How do we convert? What is in the middle of the funnel? What is at the end? Because just like a business would never solely succeed from top of the funnel... lasting change will never happen if we only focus on the top of the funnel. Just something to think about. #justQ 🖖🏽🖤 #diversity #blm …see more
BREAKING NEWS! The FDA just authorized the marketing of the first cardiac ultrasound software that uses artificial intelligence to guide the user while performing an ultrasound examination. It could lead to a new era in medical imaging as even caregivers without any training could do an ultrasound examination and send the results to professionals. It's a coincidence that I just received the L15 HD wireless ultrasound scanner from Clarius for testing. It's so light that I almost sent the package back, assuming it was empty. Luckily I opened it first. It can start scanning 10 seconds after turning it on and users can choose from A.I.-powered presets for instant adjustments to get a better image. Will this be the new common practice? https://lnkd.in/gjtSEWR #themedicalfuturist #digitalhealth #future #healthcare #medicine #technology #fromchancetochoice #ultrasound #portableultrasound #cardiacultrasound #fda #clarius …see more

When are are going to understand that people do not spend time online? They exist in a world where reality blends the two. Digital stuff is just how we live. It’s not a choice. It’s not a behavior. We don’t “go to the power grid” when we boil a kettle, we just make tea. In the same way, we don’t do digital banking, online dating or ecommerce, we just send money, go on dates and buy stuff in 2018. This isn’t semantics, it’s the outlook and mindset we have to have for the modern age, we have to build for this reality not adapt what we have to jusr about work in it by bolting things on to the side …see more
I decline most brand deals. I went live on Instagram last night and I was asked “should you accept every brand deal that comes your way.” The simple answer is no. Here’s why I don’t accept everything: - You should spend more time building your brand than building someone else’s. Accepting everything will make you money quickly in the short term, but limit success in the long term. - Not every brand is aligned with mine or my company’s. I have spent years building relationships and if I start promoting things I don’t believe in (or promoting too much) I’ll lose credibility & trust quickly. It takes years to build trust and one wrong action to lose it. - It has to be something I genuinely like and think my community will like as well. Because if I don’t believe in it then 1). I can’t sell it. And 2). my community will not believe in it either. Protect your brand. Only rep the products you believe in. #justQ 🖤 …see more

Leadership, at the heart of it, is about inspiring greatness in others. It's about enabling others to reach their full potential. Empowering others to make confident decisions requires a leader to be, first, secure in their own strengths and vulnerabilities. Often the undoing of leaders is their inability to make space for others to emerge from the shadows of the organization. For a leader to succeed they need to scale, and to scale they need to delegate. Founders sometimes struggle with practicing delegation. I believe this is one of the most common issues why the potential of a start-up is not fully realized. Delegation is not about demanding results; it takes genuine empowerment to allow others to flourish and an understanding of the constraints. Delegation = Empowerment = Success. …see more
