The efforts of healthcare workers on the frontlines of the COVID-19 crisis all around the world have been and continue to be remarkable. I wanted to particularly thank Cuba’s medical personnel for travelling to the British Virgin Islands and so many other islands and countries to support the response to COVID-19. A campaign is up and running to award Cuba’s medics a Nobel Peace Prize to recognise their selfless work for the common good. …see more
Standing up to racism and racial injustice also means embracing the idea of human dignity. Dignity is “each human being’s inherent value and worth – the idea that there’s something about each and every one of us that is inviolable and must be protected from harm”. Black Lives Matter is a perfect expression of that. …see more

Delighted that New Zealand’s Parliament has seen sense and said bye to the tie. After Rawiri Waititi was thrown out of Parliament for wearing a traditional Maori pendant, the country has removed its archaic requirement for members to wear ties https://virg.in/9AM …see more
2008 and 2018. I was 23 on the left and just starting my company, Zen Media. I’d just finished graduate school and writing my thesis on Twitter. No one believed social media would be a field. It was early (...very early) days. I could have never imagined the highs and lows which would follow. The following year, Business Week would name me to their 25 under 25 entrepreneurs list. Inc and Forbes would follow suit in the years to come...In the 10 years to follow, I’d write two best selling books. The Zen of Social Media Marketing (4th edition now) and Momentum. Zen Media would grow to be a globally known marketing firm with an enviable client list. I’d keynote at hundreds of events in front of thousands. I’d learn what it means to lead people and make a ton of mistakes in the process. I’d know great love and great loss. But, I’d find that in the depth of winter lay within me an invincible summer. And, I’d learn the most important lesson of all - be grateful for your highs and graceful in your lows. 💞 #10yearchallenge …see more

We cannot control what happens to us in our lives. We can only control how we respond. Viktor Frank's work is essential for anyone interested in living with purpose. Because his personal experience was so extreme, the lessons are that much more stark. And, most importantly, his lessons are universally applicable to all of us. https://bit.ly/2zaacxz #purpose #fulfillment #respond #meaning …see more
I’ve never been one who learns from books, I learn best from listening and asking questions. That’s where all my best ideas come from. When I decided to do a podcast, I wanted it to capture some of those conversations. I wanted it to be honest and open…even a little voyeuristic. I’m looking forward to season two. Until then, season one is now available wherever you like to listen to podcasts. …see more
