A year ago last week, I graduated from college. That day, I united with my family after the ceremony and asked my dad, “Are you proud of me?” “Absolutely. You graduated from the school you wanted to. But you should never do something just to make me proud. As long as you are following what you want and benefiting you and those around you, I will be proud. You could have not gone to college at all, and I would still be proud” my dad responded. I feel incredibly lucky and privileged to have parents that support me in what I chose to do with my education and career. Support systems are vital. #university #graduation #studentoflinkedin …see more

I don’t think many Baby Boomers realize how nuts the idea of saving for a pension is to Millennials. Here.... let me pay off my student loans AND save for a house I can’t ever imagine affording AND put money aside for when I’m 65.....with a company I’ll perhaps work for 2 years for...in one of the 10 careers I may have, while the world probably suffocates due to global warming or war. It’s far more conceivable to want to do a job you like enough to not be desperately keen to leave it when you’re a very healthy 65 year old with 40 years life ahead. And to not have massive outgoing on stuff you didn’t need. …see more

Honoured to work in partnership with Strive Masiyiwa, Jeff Skoll and the team at Invicta to get much needed bridge ventilators and oxygen helmets to countries across Africa as cases of COVID-19 rise across the continent. I’m so proud of the teams at Virgin Orbit and Virgin Galactic who immediately pivoted their engineering expertise to create low-cost, innovative solutions to save lives. Our foundation, Virgin Unite , will continue to support this partnership and work with its other partners, like Last Mile Health who are mobilising thousands of community health workers, to do what we can to help flatten the curve in Africa. https://virg.in/c9Y …see more
