When I wrote about my experiments with Intermittent Fasting [ https://lnkd.in/eUUN_zu ], I received many positive responses. New research shows #exercise , cold exposure, and calorie reduction all help slow down the side effects of aging and stave off #diseases associated with getting older. A new book, Lifespan by David Andrew Sinclair and journalist Matthew LaPlante suggests that we experiment with habits that are easy, free, and harmless—like taking a brisk, cold walk, and eating a lighter diet. I haven’t yet picked up the #habit of including exposure to cold into my life!! Maybe save electricity and take early morning cold water baths! Which was by the way also the custom of the past generations! https://lnkd.in/eHF27xG …see more
The last question I've been asking potential interns: "What do you think is missing on your resume?" Top answer: "Well I don't have an internship from a big brand name yet." I don't care. Big names don't mean anything to me or most people for that matter. I care about how hard you work, how adaptable you are, and what skills you've been able to prove in the past. STOP worrying about what name is on your resume. Start telling me what you want to learn and what you haven't had the chance to do yet. #jobsearch #recruitment #jobsearching #jobadvice …see more
This is the first smart clothing I've ever tested. HeartIn is a wearable ECG monitor with an automated stress/fatigue level determination and A.I.-based arrhythmia diagnostics. For thousands of peaceful protesters across this great country, the George Floyd tragedy has done more than unleash legitimate anger and genuine frustration with continued injustice and blatant discrimination. It also highlights deep challenges of unequal access, lack of participation and limited opportunities faced by significant segments of our population. Given this country's wealth, human resources and policy tools, we have the ability to do something about this. It is a collective responsibility that we, as a society, should readily and willingly take on. #georgefloyd …see more
Everyone said, "why don't you come up with solutions?" Ok, but I don't think anyone will implement them and I don't think people will like them. Saving cities is not a popularity contest. You have to do stuff that nobody will agree with. You have to be creative...not just "out of the box" but "smash the box". The goal of cities is to spur innovation, and create a safe environment for people to gather, exchange ideas, create opportunities, and flourish. Is it too late? Here are some "destroy the box" ideas that I think could work but I doubt people will do them, preferring instead to believe in a false utopia of lower prices and artistic paradise. #nyc #nycbusiness #nycjobs #nycrealestate #investing #economy #crytocurrency …see more

'I learned that #courage was not the absence of fear, but the triumph over it. The #brave man is not he who does not feel afraid, but he who conquers that #fear .' - Nelson Mandela In recent times the question, I am often asked is about how to manage the setbacks most #startups inevitably deal with. How to plan for business continuity? The thing is there is no quick-fix solution. There is the difficulty of choices to ensure runway and survival and focus on finding opportunities to rebuild. But it is important to put aside the fear of making these decisions for being judged. Actions and choices to ensure survival are never easy and never without consequences of conscience. …see more

I agree with the widely-held view among economists and Wall Street analysts that it's not the time to worry about fiscal deficits and government debt. After all, the priority is to stop short-term and reversible problems becoming harder-to-resolve long-term ones -- from the insolvency of essentially viable companies to long-term unemployment and greater inequality. Having said that, I am always quick to add: Not all countries are able to do so; and Debt-financed activities need to lead to higher growth . #economy #debt …see more
Our #choices affect others, and other's choices affect ours. To arrive at an optimal solution, we need to respect other's choices, be willing to understand them, negotiate with them, and arrive at a win-win solution that's good for all concerned.
There is a global campaign on Sugar. By now we all know it is not good for us in abundance. “Sugar is the new tobacco “; “Sugar the hidden menace”.
