I always found success in the places that were least crowded. Where is the least crowded place now? The place where everyone tells the truth. (Confession! This is corny, but sadly, true.)
Iran Ayatollah Khamenei banning import of US and UK vaccines—saying they may be designed to poison foreign populations—is the most criminally malevolent statement I’ve seen from a world leader this year. 150,000 Pfizer vaccines cancelled. Devastating for the people of Iran.
Checking the news only every 7 days with a good read of in-depth reporting from a few different sides, that you pay, for seems like a decent plan for 2021. Can’t help but think about we traded attention, then clarity, then data and finally our sanity for content in the modern era. Time to enjoy the depth, not the pace of it all. …see more
I always say, “don’t attach your self worth to the work that you do.” And that’s easy to say when you’re ecstatic about what you do. But when things aren’t going so well it's very difficult to not attach your identity to your work. Because we are a big part of what we do. At least I am. It felt like overnight we went from having our best year to having our worst (financially). From a staff of 8 to a team of 4. From focusing on leads and revenue, to tackling racism. This feeling of being lost, that I've had up until a few weeks ago, has felt so foreign to me. One of our founders moved on to focus on his brand. It was a decision we all agreed with. And he is crushing it. Legit, I am so proud. I also got word that two of my former employees are working with an old client of ours (which is great and I’m happy for them). But on the flip side (and in all transparency) seeing things like that make you question yourself. What am I doing with my life? Am I doing the right thing? I thought I was more talented than this? I thought I was meant for more than this? Why am I not further along? I want to use this edition of the newsletter to dig into the next chapter of my life & how I found clarity. Hopefully it helps some of you on your journey as well. #justQ 🖖🏽🖤 #entrepreneurship …see more
I spoke to high school students last month. 🎤 Legit, it was the most fun I've had for any speaking engagement. Here's why: ✅ It was an experience. I had walk out music, they gave me a tour, a student ran podcast, and so much more. ✅ The students wanted to learn. And I've been in their position before. ✅ It was engaging... they asked me questions. I asked them questions. ✅ Jeff Peterson is legit. For aspiring speakers, I've spoken at events like TEDx, INBOUND, VidCon, etc. But please remember this: Whether you're speaking on a huge stage or a small stage... you're speaking to people. It's the impact that matters, not just the numbers. #justQ 🖖🏾🖤 #entrepreneurship #startups …see more
Anxiety disorders are the most common mental illnesses affecting 19% of the adult population in the US each year - and around 264 million people worldwide. The problem often emerges in connection with technology, but now I explore a reverse causation: how digital health technologies can address anxiety disorders and stress - as also proven by research. #themedicalfuturist #digitalhealth #future #healthcare #medicine #technology #fromchancetochoice #anxiety #anxietydisorder #stress …see more
Happiness is just a positive perception from our brain. Some days, you will be unhappy. Our brain is a tool we use. It's not who we are.
Good morning. Starting today with another item to add to my list of once unlikely/unthinkable becoming reality: A more than 10-times over-subscribed 100 year bond issued at less than 1%. This is what happened this morning with Austria's ultra-long bond issuance. #markets #austria #bonds #investing #investors …see more
This has been a roller coaster of a week, and I’m so grateful to all of those who have helped me show up as my best self in every moment. On camera and off. Thank you. 🙏🏼
#Learning is a lifelong pursuit and plays a significant role in our progress of self reflection and self-improvement. I found some of these #visionaries ' tenacity for learning inspiring. "I have no special talent. I am only passionately curious." - Albert Einstein "Anyone who stops learning is old, whether at twenty or eighty. Anyone who keeps learning stays young. The greatest thing in life is to keep your mind young." - Henry Ford "I can never stand still. I must explore and experiment. I am never satisfied with my work. I resent the limitations of my own imagination." - Walt Disney "Remain a lifelong student. Don't lose that curiosity." - Indra Nooyi "Admission of ignorance is often the first step in our education." - Stephen Covey "The illiterate of the 21st century will not be those who cannot read and write, but those who cannot learn, unlearn, and relearn." - Alvin Toffler "In times of change, learners inherit the earth" - Erich Fromm "I am always ready to learn although I do not always like being taught." - Winston Churchill #MondayMotivation #ConstantLearning …see more

I’d like to honor the unsung heroes of healthcare: nurses. This week, I’m focusing on how digital health will transform the nursing profession as well. As being a nurse requires the core of what makes us human – paying attention, being empathetic and caring -, it will never be replaced by technology. However, technological innovations can relieve nurses of the burden of many monotonous and repetitive tasks. Let me show you where the road of the future of nurses takes us! https://lnkd.in/eucEwP6 #nurses #nurselife #futureofnurses #themedicalfuturist #digitalhealth #future #healthcare #medicine #technology #AI #artificialintelligence …see more
Tracy Morgan stopped by the club. I said, “Want to go on up?” He said, “I got nothing. I got nothing…..Ahh, whatever. I’ll go up. I’M TRACY MORGAN!” He went up for 20 minutes just spewing jokes non stop. Everyone was laughing. He had this raw energy. He was shouting and laughing. And making faces. It was like there was no filter between his brain and the audience. …see more
