I was in 6th grade when the world grew much darker, but I'll never forget the inspiring words of my middle school principal over the loud speaker that moved me. Mr. Van Winkle. It was rumored that he was the cousin of Vanilla Ice which seemed pretty rad at the time since it was an artist my older brothers followed. The quote passed via the morning intercom announcements through the halls that would be closed temporarily due to asbestos mold. "According to all known laws of aviation, there is no way that a bee should be able to fly. Its wings are too small to get its round body off the ground. The bee, of course, flies anyways." Isn't it something that a few words mentioned decades ago could stick with us all of this time? I discovered today that this was a myth perpetuated by popular culture. But perhaps this isn't a lesson about accuracy, but that what works for others may not work for us and vice versa. The bee doesn't fly like other insects. And we know how important they are to life, Could you imagine if they saw how other insects flew and gave up, knowing they were different?! Never give up. #Motivation #Inspiration #ChantelShares …see more
A walkthrough sanitization COVID gate at Uzsoki Kórház (a hospital in Hungary). The gate 🦠 sanitizes the patient (including the soles of their shoes) 🤒 measures body temperature and detects if someone has fever 😷 checks whether they wear a mask properly. I see more of these recently. A simple technology with good benefits. #COVID #COVID19 #technology …see more
That disappointing economic news is treated as positive news by equity investors is not a surprise -- especially given how reliant markets are on stimulus liquidity. The immediate reaction of the US government bond markets to the jobs report is more notable: 10-year yields are higher and curves steeper. #markets #bonds #investing #equities #economy #stocks #jobs …see more

I wish people did more of their work via phone calls. But I also wished all businesses let you contact them via email. We need to get better at knowing the right tool for the job, but we need to be able to choose from all.
The #journey of scaling from x to 1000x can be overwhelming. But a journey of thousand miles begins with a single step. Here's an inspiring talk on how we just need to make marginal improvements to increase our odds to achieve our #goals and supersede them. #SuccessHabits …see more
If you could interview anyone, who would you choose? The thing I love most about podcasting is that I'm learning just as much as everyone listening. I had an incredible time interviewing Angela Damiani on one of this week's episodes. _ Also, massive shoutout to Eric Didier for all the work he puts into our show. "Hey, what music do you want me to use for your podcast intro?" - Eric Me: "Probably something chill, maybe a little melancholy." Self-awareness is bliss y'all! 😂 Who would your dream podcast interview be with? #justQ 🖖🏽🖤 #podcast …see more

Kazakhstan has one of the lowest population densities worldwide, at less than 6 people per square kilometre. This is one of the main reasons why the country developed a digital health strategy to reach people in remote areas, shifting from hospital-oriented medical care to patient-oriented medical care. #themedicalfuturist #digitalhealth #future #healthcare #medicine #technology #fromchancetochoice #telemedicine #kazakhstan …see more

What you need to do is build the house you will live in. You build that house by laying a solid foundation: by building physical, emotional, mental and spiritual health.
Good morning. A strong risk-on morning, with a 500 point gain in Dow futures (or 2%, chart) on the back of higher stocks in Asia and Europe. This risk-on tone is translating into a lower dollar, higher yields on government bonds and further oil price gains. #economy #investing #markets #stocks #stockmarket #bonds #equities #interestrates #yields #investmentmanagement #dow #assetallocation #fixedincome #investors #investing …see more
My first Thanksgiving that I spent alone was right after I separated from my wife. By the end of that day I experience: fear, loneliness, and I will lie to thousands of people and enjoy it. I woke up and I imagined my kids saying, “Is daddy going to be with us?” They were tiny still. They didn’t know. I was bottomless sad, thinking of them going to Thanksgiving at their aunt’s, asking, “Where’s daddy?” That’s when I put an ad on Craigslist. . . . . #writing #lifestyle #thanksgiving #appreication …see more

I really can’t stand it when people post empty facile quotes on here. But as the year ends, a year where few felt able to do anything but cope, this old quote feels as powerful and appropriate as ever. “ I am not what happened to me, I am what I choose to become” Carl Gustav Jung We have more choices than we think, despite what it may seem. We are more in control of our lives than we readily understand. We may fight for rights, and basic freedoms , but we can always control our reactions and its one hell of a feeling. Jung has many incredible quotes. I may share a few over the coming months. Always love hearing other quotes people find notable …see more
Anyone know a way to rent out your own car in NYC? Less Uber or Turo, but more like P2P leasing for a few weeks/months.
