People are much more than pixels. On social media, people often forget that creators and users are real people with hearts and souls, families, and friends. This can lead to: ➡Shortened Attention Spans ➡Judgment, Bias & Discrimination ➡Trolling I found this little design in my old files and thought we could all use a little reminder now that so many of us are submerged in remote work access. Go thank a colleague or friend, schedule a virtual coffee "just because" and have a wonderful weekend. And if you need help with clarity and planning with your personal brand, you know where to find me 🙂 #culture #people …see more

Honestly - Can you get a ‘feel’ of a new workplace from your home? Can you get a taste of a company’s work culture through Zoom? Can you figure out if your colleagues are cool and nice or something else, without meeting them?🙄 This is so hard to do right now. But at the same time, your satisfaction depends on these, much more than your salary. So what can you, before starting your new position? 👉🏼Explore the chemistry you have with your new boss. It is a MUST. 👉🏼Ask to meet your team even if it’s not included in the hiring process. 👉🏼Ask someone you personally know that works there 👉🏼Google it 👉🏼Glassdoor it. 👉🏼Instagram it. Yes. Culture is most visible there. Salary is just one factor, and not the most important one. #Never join a company blindfolded. #hr #interview #career #hiring …see more

The new key factors candidates will look for in their next job post-corona. Pre-corona candidates decided to sign with companies based on 4 key factors: daily commute, the people, the role, and of course, money. Companies actually developed techniques and selling points in order to sell the positions based on these factors, and now we have a game-changer! After some research on my side, I can tell that things are gonna change. Here are the new 4 key factors that will be considered in the post-corona era: **Financial stability of the company (the company fired staff during corona, or sent employees to unpaid leave) **Work-life balance (did the company take into consideration work hours for employees with kids, WFH) **Social responsibility (companies that helped during the corona with donations, volunteering, and technology) **A place to stay for the long term (according to salary, perks, and people). WDYT? What will be the new key-factors? (In the picture AppsFlyer Cares van came to cheer up our medical heroes). AppsFlyer #covid19 …see more

Immunity passports might be soon a requirement to allow the holder to go back to work, travel or just “participate in society”. The idea sounds reasonable and even attractive, though it raises numerous questions from efficacy to inequality issues. Re US economic data: Q-1 GDP fell by 32.9 (annualized), a record contraction that, like too many other data points before it, will force a recasting of y axes; and Jobless claims rose to 1.43 million, pointing to the leveling off of the recovery and the higher downward risk. #economy #jobs #employment …see more

The next "interesting" event is happening in Soho House (NYC) on the 13th of November. This is my call for wonderful, expert charismatic and nice speakers to take the stage. The theme is about edges. How we can learn from those around the worlds of design, economics, psychology, photography, art, technology or weird shit. Looking for bold, passionate, contrarian, entirely non corporate views & people to showcase. Apply with this form. I only care about how interesting and good you will be, not position, fame, seniority, current employer.   https://lnkd.in/gyzkVhX …see more

(All opinions solely mine and do not reflect the views of my employer) I have largely stayed out of the COVID-19 controversy, but this issue is too important to humanity, for any of us to stay silent. I took the video below while walking through Fort Mason this weekend. Not in Missouri, or Texas, or Georgia. This was in the heart of San Francisco, California. 90+ percent of people there weren't wearing masks. Most were young. Lots wore t-shirts with names of companies most would recognize. This, in a time when doctors, nurses and frontline workers are literally fighting for their lives so we can live ours. COVID-19 doesn't know or care about you, your social wants and needs, or your political beliefs. Just because you're young and healthy doesn't mean you can't infect someone else - quite the opposite. This asymptomatic pandemic has killed people of all ages, and continues to ravage the world. So stop the posturing and the bravado. Please. Stop being cavalier and careless. We haven't won the fight. Wear a mask. Observe social distancing. Wash your hands often. Listen. To. The. Science. Your actions could literally either save or take a life, yours or that of others. #covid19 #socialdistancing #dobetter Please share. Stay healthy, stay safe. https://lnkd.in/gC9h-9e …see more

Here are five ways you’re making it hard to work with you😳—and how to fix it: 1️⃣You’re negative Those who lead with #positivity help others feel more relaxed in their presence, making them more receptive to them and their ideas. Smiling signals that you’re approachable & kind, making you appear more likable, confident & trustworthy. 2️⃣You’re closed-minded See new ideas not as threats but as opportunities for #growth & learning. When you’re #curious , receptive to, and tolerant of new ideas and people, that openness fosters #connection . 3️⃣You’re an enigma (and not in a mysterious, cool way) When you’re clear, people understand you, what you offer, your value, what differentiates you, how you can help them & how they can assist you. #Clarity helps others know, like & #trust you. 4️⃣You wing it—a lot #Timemanagement is about prioritizing those things that matter most. Eliminate distractions and tasks that don’t serve your larger goal. Being intentional with your time helps you be more prepared. 5️⃣You’re oblivious Honing your powers of observation is essential for increasing your #awareness , and that’s nearly impossible to do when you’re multitasking. Put down your phone, give people your undivided #attention , and listen to understand, not respond. #leadership #career …see more

What is the highest and best use of your talents? Many of us spend years downplaying our abilities, relegating them to a mere hobby, or as something impractical. We think if something comes easy to us, or it varies from what’s expected of us, that it must not have much value. Instead, we excel at things that leave us outwardly successful but miserable and unfulfilled. But something magical happens when you develop the self-awareness to identify what sets you apart, and then use your unique talents to magnify your impact. The sooner you can do this, the sooner you can elevate your career—and your happiness. Have you discovered—and finally acknowledged—the highest and best use of your talents? #career #success #personaldevelopment …see more

"I have decided to stick with love. Hate is too great a burden to bear. " -Martin Luther King Jr There's so much to learn from a leader like Marin Luther King! The discriminations against one's gender, color, and background are unfortunately still prevalent at work, home, and society. We all see them & experience them. With less than 1% of Fortune 500 CEOs being Black (3 out of 500 to be exact) and only 3.2% of the senior leadership roles at large companies in the U.S. being Black, we need to change our perspectives to hiring, promoting, and empowering people of different backgrounds, ethnicities and genders. Research after research validated that diversity of all kinds in the leadership teams will result in higher business outcomes. We need to set minorities for success or else organizations will fall behind in competition and individuals will suffer. Let's stand for what's right! Let's speak up when we see people discriminate, have unconscious biases, bully, or exclude others. Change starts from each and everyone of us! Change starts with YOU! #martinlutherking #leadership #changeforbetter #changeleadership #discrimination #unconsciousbiases #biasinhiring #biasinpromoting #diversityatwork …see more
