Diversity is the best growth hack we've ever known. And yet so many see it as a compliance thing. It's pathetic how many people find it "harder" to work with people who are "different" to them. If you don't relish the chance to listen to new voices and the opportunity to learn from working with those who see the world differently or come from different backgrounds, why bother working. The future is around fostering and releasing the tension of different skills, ways of thinking, and variety in everything that makes us who we are. We have to stop dragging our feet and be excited about the idea that diverse teams perform better by all measures. …see more
Audio fixed! I hope no one watches my videos from five or six years ago. I made such rookie mistakes. 🙈 But...I’m glad I didn’t let fear stop me. I’m glad because every video I did got better and better. When I first started keynoting, I would be shaking before I got on stage. Now, it’s second nature. Every video I made, every keynote I gave, every client strategy...it got better and better. 🙌🏽 It’s way too easy to wait until you’re perfect or the conditions are perfect. Don’t. In today’s digital age, you have to embrace your inner editor. Choose to be kind to yourself. 🙏🏽 Choose your inner editor over your inner perfectionist! It’s how you win. 💪🏽#marketing #branding #technology …see more

I really miss the middle ground and reasonableness. How are my social media feeds full of extremes on EVERY topic? If you think Covid vaccines are extremely safe, show clear benefits but don't think people should be forced against their will to be injected, you find yourself in the terrifying middle. If you even TRY to UNDERSTAND why people vote for different things to you, you are accused of being on the other side. If you are concerned about deaths from Lockdowns, you are a Covid denier. If you prefer policy with robust data, or you ask questions, you are "anti science". If you think Climate change is man-made, very real, but we may be better off designing solutions for an altered world, WHILE focussing on stopping it, you're considered anti-green. Pretty much everything we debate in the world is complex, is nuanced, isn't objectively known. This complexity demands asking the very hard questions, it demands empathy to other sides perspectives, it demands getting to the issues beneath the issues and going to the core of our faults as a species. It means asking the biggest questions about morality, ethics. It demands letting go of preexisting ideas and assumptions & being open to changing your mind. All of which, in the modern internet age, are career ending …see more
This still blows my mind! 🤯🤯🤯 We chose about 25 people, told them we were hosting an exclusive event but couldn't give them details beyond that. Those that opted in, got a text with a location and time the morning of. And this is what happened when they all showed up (video). I'm still so humbled by everyone that came to the event & the level of vulnerability here. You never know what the person next to you might be going through. Tell someone you love them today. You never know what could happen or how one small act of kindness may change everything. Tag someone below & show them love! I have always practised candor in my conversations. It is not always popular. Sometimes people receive it openly and appreciate it. Other times they take it badly. But if you care for the other person, not being candid would be dishonest. The tone of fairness and understanding have to be the foundation of taking the liberty to give candid feedback. Candidness is a core quality to being a good boss, someone who deeply cares about the growth of the individual and is committed to helping them operate at full potential. …see more
Don't strive to be an influencer... strive to influence people. Thought leader > Influencer. There's a big difference 👇🏾 All thought leaders are influencers. But not all influencers are thought leaders. A big focus for me in this next decade is to become more useful. And to build more thought leadership around my cluster of skills. When I was 21, I was confused about who I was and what I wanted to do. I read a blog that said something along the lines of this: identify 3-5 skills/passions and master the intersection between those. Looking into the future, this is what I am / will master: ✅ Human Behavior ✅ Strategy ✅ Business ✅ Story ✅ Video Games & Virtual Experiences I’m mastering the intersection between those. What are you mastering? What are you building thought leadership around? #justQ 🖖🏾🖤 #entrepreneurship #business …see more
