This week at the World Government Summit a topic came up that I think is going to dominate the US election and the G20 meeting that will take place this November. We've all had that conversation before that felt like a mutual understanding was impossible. Some individuals get so caught up in their own reality that they lose sight of other perspectives, cultures or experiences. In your opinion, do you think those people ever change? I feel that it must be a CHOICE. If they don't choose to change and embrace other realities, they will continue their commitment to misunderstanding. My suggestion is to communicate clearly and unequivocally with simplicity... Especially when speaking up for what's right and just in the world, against bias and judgment. And if you notice the individual speaking in circles, unable to understand or empathize, simply move on. Don't waste your hard earned time and energy. SELF CARE is choosing not to argue with someone committed to misunderstanding you. Do you agree? #communications #chantelshares …see more

Andy Jassy was recently announced as the successor to #JeffBezos . He will take over as CEO of Amazon in Q3 2021. When the announcement was made, I had not even heard of him. So, I went looking to learn more about him and was curious to know what it takes to get promoted to the CEO of one of the largest tech companies in the world: - Did you know that he has held a job at only one company - he joined Amazon straight from Business school in 1997 and has been there since. Talk about loyalty! - He served in a 'shadow' role to Bezos in his early years at the company, in a position known as Bezos’ Technical Assistant or Chief Of Staff. - He transformed AWS into a $50B a year business, generating 71% of Amazon’s total operating income. #Entrepreneurship #Startups #management …see more
