Initial #experiences are always exciting, may it be a new school, new job, new relationships. But after a while, it fades off. We might have experienced something similar in the past couple of months. Initially, with lockdown, we got #creative , tried new things and hobbies. Probably now it might feel like a never-ending rut. Here's an article talking about how to get creative again when the routine sets in. #SuccessHabits …see more

When is social media more important than a life?! Yesterday, on our way up north, we stopped to gas up and grab some grub at a tiny town, noticing a group of rambunctious teens hanging out in the empty parking lot parallel to us. We reminisced on our reckless teen years when my husband noticed in his side-view mirror that one of the teens flipped their four-wheeler and crashed HARD. Without thought, he zoomed over to help, applying his first response training learned as a Federal Officer. The teens were on their phones so we had assumed they were calling 911... Then the young girl said, "we just don't know what to do!" My husband responded while leaning over and caring for the young man, "well weren't you just on the phone with 911?" She responded... "no?" Surprised that nobody else had, a friend finally called with the Sherriff arriving moments later. I cannot imagine being 16 today, When 100 likes mean more than a friend's life. - SEE something? DO something! - This is the generation we are going to pass our world off to... Are you teaching your children to be leaders? - PS - I know this is a professional platform, but... it's moments like these that I fall in love with my husband a thousand times over again 🥰 #leadership …see more
The FDA just approved an antibody-based test for COVID-19 which raises interesting issues. Those patients who are infected with the virus produce antibodies specific to the virus and such tests can detect them. This would show who has already been sick — whether they had symptoms or not — and therefore, who is probably immune enough to the virus to safely move around. It doesn't mean the test is helpful during the pandemic but it could be useful when we try to go back to living our lives and doing our jobs. I'm just speculating here: What if the pandemic goes on for many months from now even with the worldwide lockdowns and only those people would be allowed to reduce social distancing (to work, do shopping, travel, etc.) who has a positive antibody test and a negative virus test (a PCR test showing there is no coronavirus in their body)? What if biotech companies have to create a sort of biological passport so some people can go back to society? I hope it'd only happen if the worst pandemic scenarios take place. #themedicalfuturist #digitalhealth #future #healthcare #medicine #technology #fromchancetochoice #COVID19 #COVID_19 #coronavirus …see more
At above 1 million, a disappointing US initial jobless claims number. The 1.11 million print is well above consensus expectation of 920,000. It exceeded all of the 40 estimates in the Bloomberg survey. The 14.8 mm continuing claims were better than expected (15 mm). #jobs #employment #jobless …see more
An historic day of trading thanks to oil. It's hard for risk markets to ignore the dislocations, and understandably so. While no where as extreme as the expiring contract, the price move down in the energy complex raises direct and indirect risks for other market segments. #oil #markets #energy #economy #selloff #stocks #investing #investors #investmentmanagement …see more

I'm sure you can largely tell how screwed a company is by whether it uses Microsoft Teams or not. (I can perhaps forgive large companies, but I can't forgive large companies in creative fields or tech companies who use some of the worst software ever made ) When will we realize that in 2002 , IT was a subset of office management, it was a cost center, it was the people in the dark basement, today what technology you use to augment your talents ability to thrive, is perhaps one of the most important things to INVEST in. …see more

TIP 7: REMEMBER HOW FAR YOU’VE COME! You have seen and done things that have been challenging at best and it’s hard to appreciate where you are today without acknowledging where you’ve been. Remember those days of searching through the recliner to find enough money for gas to get to work? Or when you were happy that “fasting” was cool because you couldn’t afford groceries until payday? Or when you couldn’t afford to fix your windshield wipers, so you tied strings to them and pulled them to clear your windshield from the rain? Oh yes. I feel you. Remember that and feel empowered. Look how far you’ve come! Just please be careful not to trigger trauma in your reflection. REFRESH: 1️⃣ Be Present – Find your anchor to remind you. 2️⃣ Reminisce – Don’t let happy memories go to waste! 3️⃣ Acknowledge – Acknowledge the invisible. 4️⃣ Neuroplasticity – Think positive thoughts for every negative one. 5️⃣ Compliment – Give kind notes often. 6️⃣ Pause – Practice deep breathing exercises. I was supposed to have my first international speaking gig in Austria this year... I'm honestly thankful for this year. Anyone that tells you they don’t mess up on camera is lying! 👇🏽😂 It’s a part of the gig (watch video for proof). Things I’m secretly known for: ✅ I have a rule that I have to finish the take on video even if I mess up (it doesn’t always work that way😆). ✅ Using sound effects to explain things. ✅ That weird scream at the end of this video. This one is for you Mike Casavant 😂 Outside of my company, I am paid to be on camera and to speak... I still mess up. I still have fun. As should you. Tag someone that “gets” it 🤣 🎥. #justQ 🖖🏽🖤 #business #entrepreneurship …see more

Today, I was inspired by Coach Paul at Barry Bootcamp who pushed me to go above what I put my mindset on, burned 485 calories and sweat like there’s no tomorrow. 💪🏻 Most importantly, he did it the way an AWESOME coach will do: MOTIVATE you and make you BELIEVE everything is possible. I shared a few of his quotes which made me to push myself throughout this workout as I think these are extremely relevant for life and work in general. Hopefully these will get you all pumped up and ready to go for setting/beating your personal records and crafting your NEW YEAR resolutions: 1) “Every time you want to give up, you know it’s a critical time that CHANGE will be happening if you keep pushing forward, so you can’t quit at that point!” 2) “Have you set a goal and ready to beat that?! If not, who would sign up to do “hard things”, in this case Barry Bootcamp (those of you who have done it before can relate), 😁without a clear goal in mind? 3) Don’t settle to “status quo” or “your base” even though that’s comfortable. Always push for the next level!” Thanks Coach Paul! #newyearresolution #newyearreaolutions #fitness #clearyourmind #healthandfitness #thoughtleadership #motivateothers #motivations #winning #leadership #championofchange #changeyourmindset #bestcoaches …see more
