Families allocate different purposes, and therefore risk/return expectations, to their business, cash, market and alternative investments. So shorter time horizons for alternatives could reflect lack of confidence in the manager rather than their own risk profile.... For me, #technology is not the goal nor the end result, technology is an enabler. It provides the means to create and make a difference, which brings lasting progress and radical transformation. Globally, men dominate the STEM workforce and in-effect the world of #startups and #business . We should inspire more women globally to pursue careers in STEM and also create platforms for them to succeed in different fields. The first step to change is acknowledging a problem exists and addressing it head-on. I was hence happy to contribute the foreword (PDF attached) to the ORF report, ‘Pushing the Boundaries of Indian Tech Women on the Frontlines’. Download and read the full report here-> https://lnkd.in/eBAPUYB Thanks to the ORF team and Nisha Holla for working closely with 18 women leaders and putting this report together. #professionalwomen #gender …see more

Have you ever felt INVISIBLE? Tip 3 in my #10Tips10Days series about living a fulfilled life of gratitude is all about acknowledgment. A lot of people don't know this, but I lost 75lbs following during my recovery and remission - but at my heaviest, I was invisible. Nobody wanted to call me or hang out. Nobody said "hi" in the halls or at the grocery store. During my diagnosis, friends distanced themselves and stopped inviting me out and calling me up. It's way too easy to feel invisible in this noisy world which is why it's SO important to acknowledge others! I DARE you to say "hello" to every stranger you come across, make eye contact and smile. It's hard with social anxiety or low self-esteem - trust me, I get it. I've been there. But believe me when I say that the smallest bit of acknowledgment will lift your heart up and spread like wildfire, making a huge shift in happiness, fulfillment, and gratitude... And before you know it, being social and sharing your presence with the world will become habitual! What do you have going on today where you can lift someone up with acknowledgment? Thank you Kira Day , Jake Jordan , Bobby Umar and Lila Smith for re-launching this challenge! #Gratitude #Leadership #Happiness #PersonalGrowth #ProfessionalGrowth #ChantelShares …see more
Unpopular belief ...👇🏾 💰When you take a check from someone... that's real. So many "agencies" out there are not enough taking that seriously. You have to get your clients results. Crazy right!? 😅 One of our clients sent our team an email before we flew out to NY this week. It basically said this, 'I'm expecting a lot from this partnership." It fired me up [in a good way]! But also got me thinking... there are so many people starting companies just because they found success personally. You have to be able to replicate & take them where you're promising you can. ✅ I started my first company when I was 22. It didn't go well. So I started another. I learned a lot. Failed. And now I'm on my third with a team of 8. I learned, the hard way, how important processes & systems are. ✅ When I was younger I thought people owed me a chance. But I had to earn it. I had to create something that people NEEDED to buy. And something that gets results. Just something to think about. (Also... Uploaded the wrong subtitles 🤣🤦🏽♂️) #justQ 🖖🏾🖤 #business #startups …see more
I have always rejected comments that I needed a mentor. I thought it implied that one main mentor would have a crazy amount of influence over my career. “I was picturing this Mister Miyagi type of relationship that ultimately changes your life and your perception around life” - Hootsuite’s CEO, Ryan Holmes. I know far too many college students that send out these emails to big names in the business, praying for that one mentor that will open all the doors for them. All the while, they are meeting hundreds of people with great advice and passing on the opportunity to capitalize on their generosity. Mentors are everywhere. Day 8 of #30DS …see more
Happy Sunday! What are you doing today (this weekend) to decompress and get ready for having the most impact this coming week? I’m my best in nature and when I’m working out. My best ideas and most out-of-the-box thinkings typically occur to me in that situation. That’s why I decided to at least go for long runs again at least once a week for a couple of hours. I’m sure sitting in front of my laptop a good 6 days a week for most hours of the day gives me enough practical thinking that these 2 hours running freely in the nature and thinking about "what if sky is the limit opportunities” can have significant impact! #impactdriveleadership #purposedrivenlife #purposedrivenleadership #startups #buildingproducts #bigideas #practicalexecution …see more

WANT TO REACH YOUR GOALS? MATCH YOUR TIME SPEND TO YOUR GOALS Think carefully about each task and project and why you are willing to allocate time on your calendar for it.
