There are two ways to avoid getting burnt out. These are the only two ways I have EVER succeeded in avoiding getting #BurntOut... http://ow.ly/hscm30iSCYD
PRIORITIZE YOUR INCOMING EMAIL MESSAGES USING COLOR So you can SEE the important emails first. Color code your manager red, your top clients green and messages you were CCed on grey so they fade into the background.
Productivity is highly personal, your strategy to manage interruptions should reflect your thinking style as well as the realities of your work environment and office culture. Of course, it should also be tailored to your personal Productivity Style (Refresher: Are you the Prioritizer, the Planner, the Arranger, or the Visualizer? Or don’t know your Productivity Style and want to find out – take the Productivity Style Assessment®.) …see more

Gut feel is the miracle that is processing trillions of data points without us realizing it. Ignore it at your peril because we’ve “big data” now.
Doing anything on the internet in 2018 is a lot of getting text messages sent to yourself to enter into forms and identifying roadsigns, doors and vehicles to show we are not robots. In an era where our fingerprints, eyes or faces can be scanned with tens of thousands of data points to incredible precision, I think we should be able to do better. …see more
Today’s graduation ceremony for 60 midwives at the hospital built by Edna Adan Ismail in Hargeisha, #Somaliland was one of the most beautiful I have ever attended. And I suspect it is because of the beauty of Madame Edna’s mission...to provide quality #maternalhealth care for as many women as possible. I’ll be posting more images from the event shortly on Instagram (Rachella55) and will also produce a Facebook album about the event. And, of course, I am writing about Madame Edna for the National Geographic 2019 Global Health issue. #midwivesmatter #midwifery #globalhealth #HealthForAll …see more
the problem with Facebook, Amazon, Google et al. is that, for a bunch of predominantly white men, they have no sense of rhythm. and don’t get me started with banks exec teams.
The government can have its cake and eat it too if it allows "NextGen" mega banks to run independently and turn others into vehicles for social banking
Love this post by Brigette Hyacinth . In these hard times, small gestures to help propel and give energy to those going through their own tough personal journeys goes a long way to helping motivating and encouraging them to not give up and to keep trying. Reminds me of a quote I learnt growing up - “Each one, reach one.” #mondaymotivaton #leadership #business …see more
The economic impact of the COVID crisis is both huge and diverse, and could be worse in the long run if not addressed effectively. The economic revitalization is needed and must be inclusive of tier 2/3 cities and towns. Here’s a great example of how effective leadership and a strong sense of community can help regions prosper. Well, I feel like a moron... Being in advertising, I find myself regularly doing the calculation to estimate cost per conversion based on different CPCs and Conversion Rates. I always have to throw like 8 columns into an excel spreadsheet and logic through it. I finally just figured out the quick formula to shortcut it. Cost Per Click / Conversion Rate = Cost Per Conversion So a $6 CPC / 15% Conversion Rate would be a $40 CPL I feel like a total bozo that I've been doing PPC advertising for 12 years and didn't figure that out until now. Wanted to share with you fine folks in case my "Ah Ha!" moment helps any of you. …see more

In my #AskAmy video series, I invited you to ask me anything. 💁🏼♀️ And in my last video about my “normal” day, there was one object in my office of particular significance that warranted more comments than anything. 🤔 (And believe it or not, it wasn't my gray filing cabinet!)❌🗄❌ Some folks, like Katherine Robertson , Joseph Saheb Youssef , Clarissa Kristjansson , and Terry Wehrle , were surprised to see it; others, like Thomas Jackson , weren't. 🤷🏼♀️ So, I thought I'd use this week's video to explain the story behind that now-infamous one word.😎 What’s YOUR one word? 💁🏼♀️ --- If YOU have a burning 🔥 question for me, please ask it in the comments below, and I'll do my best to answer it in an upcoming video.🎥 And be sure to follow me and my hashtag, #AskAmy , so you won't miss any of the videos in my "ask me anything" series.✅ #clarity #intention #Badass …see more
Yet another example for how a very simple digital health device can improve patients' lives. The Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America describes that a peak flow meter is a handheld device that measures how well air moves out of your lungs. It can measure how narrow your airways are hours, even days, before you have any asthma symptoms. By taking your asthma medicine when your peak flow meter indicates changes – before you notice symptoms – you may be able to avoid a serious asthma episode. I start testing the Smart Peakflow which promises the same. #themedicalfuturist #digitalhealth #future #healthcare #medicine #technology #health #healthy #fromchancetochoice …see more
As yields on government bonds fall, debt trading at negative rates has climbed back to $15 trillion per Bloomberg Markets calculations. This reinforces the "TINA" theme pushing investors to risk assets and gold. It also raises more questions about the longer-term integrity of the financial system. #bonds #stocks #markets #gold #investing #investors #Bloomberg …see more
