To confront the current state of racism in America, we need to understand the long history of inequality, slavery, violence, and oppression in the US. This archive from The Atlantic is a good place to start – documenting 163 years of writings on race and racism in America: …see more

I have a natural aversion to the words "Hi I'm from the Government and i'm here to help you" For some investors a millisecond is a long time and for others a decade is a mid term hold. Our markets need to accommodate both and be kept as free and transparent as possible. …see more

Where does optimism come from? I think it comes from an innate sense that the future is bright. Andy Grammer, an incurable optimist, thinks it starts with pain. I love his point of view. This is not a Bit of Optimism. This is...A Lot of Optimism. Hear our conversation at apple.co/simonsinek or wherever you like to listen to podcasts. …see more

Delighted to welcome Michael Colglazier as the new Chief Executive to lead Virgin Galactic into commercial operations. I believe Michael’s long and distinguished career at The Walt Disney Company, one of the world’s leading customer experience brands, provides a natural fit with Virgin’s culture as well as Galactic’s requirements as it prepares for commercial service. Thanks to George Whitesides for his outstanding leadership of Virgin Galactic over the last decade. I can’t wait to travel for work. To be in meetings with others there. To have dinners with interesting people. To go to events where I get inspired. To have serendipitous meetings. To feel part of something. To feel the energy of others and enthusiasm and above all to laugh, play innocent jokes on each other, to experience the full richness of the brilliant people you often work alongside. I don’t think we truly understand what we’re missing out on while in survival mode. Each misconstrued email, each piece of slight aggression, that was actually us misunderstanding something. Each argument on social media that would normally have turned into reason and common ground. We’ve done well, but bring on normal. Normal wasn’t an accident. It’s what we choose . And yes, let’s find ways to improve it. Stuff the efficiency of current work, let’s strive for the richness of feeling alive. …see more

There are iconic pictures that capture our imagination, and this has become one. Shot last week, this is a Mumbai commuter praying before boarding the local train.😊 Is he grateful to be back to work putting the pandemic behind him? Did he miss his daily commute and conversations and train friendships? Is he hoping the trains run smoothly and no lockdowns? There are so many questions our imagination can throw up. What sentiment does this picture suggest to you? #India #Inspiration #WhatInspiresMe #WeekendMusings …see more
